The Southeast Asian Ministers of Education Organization and the Department of Technical and Vocational Education, Ministry of Education of Indonesia organized the SEA Creative Camp Online Workshops: Future Careers for Youths for schools in Southeast Asian countries during February – April 2018.

With the successful implementation of the SEA Creative Camp during February-April 2018, there were approximately 5,197 participants or 1,507 teams from 452 schools in 7 countries, namely, Indonesia, Philippines, Malaysia, Myanmar, China, India participating in the 7 online workshops and competitions.

The 7 online workshops were: 1) Becoming an Entrepreneurship is Easy; 2.A) Augmented Reality (STEM); 2.B) Augmented Reality (School Programme); 3) Educational Game Developmen ; 4) 2D Digital Animation 5) Urban Agriculture ; and 6) Online Modeling Tourism Promotion.

At the end of the training of each workshop, participating schools and colleges were required to submit the final product prototypes and proposals to the workshop coordinators for joining the competitions.

We are pleased to announce that we have received the final project submitted by 308 teams from all 7 workshops. The winners of 7 workshops participated in the Award Presentation at the Indonesian National Skills Competition during 7-11 May 2018. Mataram City, Lombok, Indonesia.

With many requests from other schools in Southeast Asia to continue the participation in this programme, the SEAMEO Secretariat in collaboration with SEAMEO Regional Centres, namely, SEAMEO SEAMOLEC, SEAMEO BIOTROP are conducting the 2nd Phase of SEA Creative Camp for high schools/colleges/universities students (15-21 years old) and teachers in Southeast Asia and beyond to join this programme.

To leverage the capacity of winners and develop partnership among schools, the winning schools of the 1st phrase will be invited to deliver the trainings and lectures at this 2nd Phrase Online Workshops.

2. Important Note for all Registrants:


  • All training sessions will be delivered by using webex online platform.

  • English language is the medium of instruction.

  • The tutorial session on how to use webex will be provided to all participants before the training.

  • The attendance will not be checked, but participants are able to review the previous training sessions by YOUTUBE and download the training materials from the SEA Creative Camp Website.

  • The Certificate of Completion will be provided to the team who submitted the final project assignment.

  • Telegram group, Whatsapp group and email blast will be used for communication with all workshop participants.


3. Participants of Online Training Workshops:

  • Students (15-21 years old) and teachers in schools (formal and non formal) , colleges, polytechnics, universities in Southeast Asia and beyond.

  • Have interest in the future knowledge, advanced technology, creative industry, entrepreneurship.

  • Good command in English communication.

  • The study areas of youths and students are not limited.

  • The participants can be students, young TVET teachers, young entrepreneurs, young industry workers.

  • Participants should have minimum knowledge and skills as required by each workshop.


4. No Registration Fee


There is free of charge to participate in the online workshops. However, at the end of the online workshop, participants are required to submit the following learning outputs:

  • Submit the completed project output/product prototype to the instructors

  • Report the advancement/achievement after attending the training course

  • Actively participate in the networking platform of each specialization
